| Silent Sterilizer Strikes Hard |
|
The latest annual report from the U.S. Center for Disease Control was not good news for those susceptible to sexually transmitted diseases. In particular, Chlamydia infections now top 1.1 million annual victims. Because this disease often has slight or moderate symptoms, many don’t seek treatment. So it is difficult to know how many more victims are out there. Medical experts indicate these figures could actually be around 3 million people.
Chlamydia is particularly hard-core for girls and women. It is one of the primary reasons the U.S. infertility rates have skyrocketed over 500% this past decade. Many women find out too late that an untreated Chlamydia infection has left them scarred and infertile. What a punishment to suffer for something preventable. The bottom-line with ALL STD's is that you won’t get them if you avoid sexual contact until marriage and then remain faithful to one another. The increased chances for health disasters make sexual abstinence so wise. |
