Nude Cell Phone Pix: The New Skin Show

Teens think twice before forwarding nude pictures you may receive on your cell phone. Several dozen Michigan area high school students are now facing school suspensions and some potential legal charges for their role in receiving and forwarding naked cell phone pictures of a fellow student. Sending naked pictures is becoming a frequent use of new picture technology on cell phones, and a rather unscrupulous way to introduce someone to someone else.

Sadly this is just one more example of how our culture is becoming immune to the influences of the over-sexualized media onslaught. Gone are the days when teens may have gradually gotten to know someone they were attracted to. Those were the days when you could take time to become friends. Now, it seems that exposing oneself is the new normal.

Not everyone falls into the trap though. Some choose to take relationships to a different level. Finding out what someone else is really like means more than a skin show. It means months of going slow enough to talk, finding out about future goals, shared ideas, and then seeing how well it works together.

When most teen relationships last less than two months, why expose the most intimate part of yourself in the time it takes to send a text message?
