A new British report outlined how Facebook users were more likely to have contracted an STD. I hate these kind of reports. Why? Because so often they capture our attention in one way while we miss the point all together.

I can make this one brief. The bottom line? Your “friends” on Facebook may or may not have an STD. They may or may not be people you should share sexual intimacy with if you want to remain disease free. The bigger question to ask yourself is whether or not you are prepared to spend the rest of your life dealing with an infection that you did not need to catch.
