Sex-Expert Says Safe is not Safe |
|
Condoms don’t make sex “safe” according to Mary Jane Minkin, M.D., Professor of ob/gyn at Yale University on New Haven, Connecticut. In about 85% of the cases condoms prevent pregnancy if used correctly—which is something that doesn’t always happen. But condoms DO NOT protect against genital herpes –an incurable disease that will be transmitted to other sexual partners whether or not you are currently experiencing an outbreak. Checking out someone’s genitals will not insure they are disease-free. This is not a time for casual sex—but saving sex for the security and health of a monogamous marriage
